Fiji Airways is offering a limited-time holiday sale on flights from the US to Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand. While you'll need to purchase tickets by Tuesday, December 26, they can be for travel between February–October, 2018.
Deals are available on flights to Fiji's Nadi International Airport, as well as a ton of cities in Australia and New Zealand, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, and Wellington. Flights from the West Coast are on sale for advertised prices as low as $899, regardless of destination — normal fares for these flights range from the $1,200s–$1,400s. During a few sample searches, though, I was able to find the tickets for even lower.
The sale only applies to flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Honolulu, so if you want to take advantage of the deal but live somewhere else in the country, you'll need to book another flight to connect. Don't rule that out as an option though; even with the second flight, you might still be able to save a ton with this sale.
Keep in mind that each individual flight has a certain number of discounted fares available, so if you're not finding the low prices that means that the sale tickets are probably sold out for that particular flight; try looking for a different flight instead. There are also several blackout dates.
While Fiji Airways isn't part of one of the major airline alliances, it has partnerships with both American Airlines and Alaska Air. That means that you can earn miles with those airlines' frequent flyer programs — remember to enter your frequent flyer number when you make the reservation.
To book, search for flights — for this particular sale, I found that Priceline did well finding the lowest fares — and enter the origin city, destination, and dates. Then, just click through to book!
